‘Saturday Night Live’ has set Maya Rudolph to host its May 11th episode alongside Vampire Weekend as musical guest, while the May 18th episode will by headlined by Jake Gyllenhaal with performances from Sabrina Carpenter.

Gyllenhaal will host the “SNL” Season 49 finale as a third-time host, having previously led episodes in 2007 with the Shins as musical guest and in 2022 opposite Camila Cabello. The actor recently starred in Amazon Prime Video’s remake of the 1989 Patrick Swayze film “Road House” and will next be seen in Apple TV+’s “Presumed Innocent,” which he also executive produces.

Carpenter will be making her “SNL” debut. She recently released the single “Espresso,” her first to hit the Billboard Top 10.

Jake Gyllenhaal grew up sailing, but a Sunfish doesn’t compare to the Luna Rossa, Prada’s boat.

“This is like getting on a space ship,” said the actor, who will appear in a three-part documentary campaign, called “Beyond the Line, directed by Nicolas Davenel and Vanessa Dumont, involving Gyllenhaal’s embed in the Luna Rossa sailing team. It is set to break on April 10.

He became the face of Prada Luna Rossa Ocean men’s scent — the first to be produced for the Italian luxury brand under L’Oréal license — in summer 2021. Now, Gyllenhaal is also fronting the more intense version, called Luna Rossa Ocean Le Parfum, a fougère ambery fragrance by IFF perfumers Anne Flipo and Carlos Benaïm.
